After acclaimed runs in Munich, Milan, and New York, Rise and Fall of Apartheid: Photography and the Bureaucracy of Everyday Life opens in Johannesburg at Museum Africa on the 13th of February.


Love has many faces, sometimes unexpected, sometimes challenging.


Crossings has been held annually from 2011 to 2013 in Johannesburg.

Durban International Film Festival 2013 – featuring the European Union, by EUNIC South Africa, 18-28 July

For the second year EUNIC South Africa has partnered with Durban International Film Festival and the EU delegation to South Africa to ensure that films and film-makers from the EU are prominently featured in the festival programme.

EUNIC and the EU put Culture as a main element of the policy dialogue in South Africa

March 2012 – November 2013, the EUNIC South Africa cluster has made a successful application for funding under the EuropeAid "European Union - South Africa Trade Development Agreement Facility".

Moshito Music Conference

The premiere African conference for the music industry was held 5 – 7 September 2012 in Johannesburg. EUNIC South Africa supported participation from EU experts and a panel discussion on national policies relating to music.

City of Gold Urban Arts Festival

From 15 – 21 April 2012, Johannesburg was home to urban art exhibitions, large-scale mural projects, film screenings, and street art tours. The partner was the Grayscale store and gallery.
